Alchemy Mineral Blends is based in Boulder, Colorado and also has a satellite location in Missoula, Montana. They have a makeup Studio in Boulder at The Side Door Salon on Spruce and Broadway.  Alchemy is a company dedicated to providing the highest quality mineral makeup products to women in an effort to ensure all women have tools and know-how to give themselves the look they truly deserve. Locally, Alchemy is also dedicated to providing beautiful makeup applications to women for all occasions and advancing the general knowledge of makeup best-practices among women of all ages.

Created by two makeup artists from very different backgrounds, Sally Walker and Breanna Ortola, Alchemy has grown to become respected for the pure quality of makeup, and equally so for the unique and professional look its artists are able to provide.

Originally from Wicklow, Ireland, Sally studied visual arts in Dublin where she honed her artistic skills through painting, skulpture and drawing. She melds these traditional arts with the art of makeup and has an excellent reputation in the field as having astounding skills regardless of the makeup demands, be it for a bride or an avante garde film shoot. She is regularly commissioned to work on professional print shoots where she is able to let her talents shine. Breanna brings to Alchemy her experiences from a more traditional career in makeup. Having worked at and managed a mineral makeup store in her hometown in Montana, she is well versed in the product and consumer demands of the retail environment and has had the opportunity to work with many mineral brands. After leaving Montana, Breanna pursued an esthetician's degree from the International School of Esthetics in Denver, Colorado to further enhance her understanding of the skin and how best to treat and care for it. She brings this invaluable experience and understanding to both the Alchemy Products and Services. Together Sally and Breanna have worked on hundreds of shoots and have appeared regularly in both regional and national publications, such as Bloom Colorado and Forbes Magazine.

In Denver, Colorado, Breanna and Sally came together as co-workers in the beauty industry and together developed a mutual appreciation for the art of makeup. With a business idea in mind, they traveled to Hollywood, California to attend the Cinema Makeup School to further develop their artistry skills. Bringing these newly refined talents back Colorado, the two quickly formed Alchemy Mineral Blends and have proudly seen it grow to what it is today.

Additionally, Weddings and Makeup parties have become an integral part of our offering. We provide pre-wedding consultations to help you decide your most ideal look, and your artist is sure to leave you feeling calm and confident for that special day.
